I am interested in exploring Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs), which make use of signal processing and machine learning to measure important characteristics of brain states in humans. By utilizing mathematical frameworks for analyzing biological signal data and applying these to machine learning methods, easy-to-collect data can be harnessed to make powerful predictions and classifications the subjective human experience. Such a framework allows us to take brain (EEG) signals and track emotional states and preferences with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
