About Me:
Stephanie Sullivan, MA, MS, is a Research Project Manager in the BIG IDEAs Lab at Duke University, where she leads project management efforts that keep complex research initiatives running smoothly and efficiently. She holds an M.A. in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.S. in Communication from Florida State University, and a B.B.A. from Mississippi State University. Stephanie’s interests center on the use of wearables and exercise in chronic disease prevention and management, bringing together her background in sport science, communication, and operations to support impactful, data-driven research.
An Excellence in Teaching and Research Merit Award recipient from UNC, Stephanie approaches her work with precision and organization, often best represented by a well-structured spreadsheet. Inspired daily by Dr. Dunn and the mission of the lab, she combines strategic thinking with a deep commitment to advancing population health. A dedicated triathlete, she relies on her Garmin Forerunner for both training and racing, and fuels busy days with black coffee. Outside the lab, she can most likely be found at a park with her two kids (#parkislife) or training for her next race. Guided by the advice not to be afraid to reinvent yourself and to never stop playing, Stephanie embraces travel, stays active, and remains committed to lifelong learning.
