About Me:

Lauren Miller is a medical student and mentee in the BIG IDEAs Lab at Duke University. She earned her B.S. from Duke University and focuses on women’s health, with particular interests in improving the patient experience within Ob/Gyn and advancing breast cancer care. Lauren is currently working on a study to measure pain with IUD insertion using wearable devices, with the broader goal of making gynecologic care more patient-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based.

Outside the lab, she enjoys going to the gym, studying at a coffee shop, and going for runs. Fun fact: she was captain of the Duke Cheerleading team as an undergraduate. Fueled by an iced decaf mocha with almond milk, Lauren is passionate about combining clinical care and research to better serve women’s health needs. One day, she hopes to become certified as a yoga instructor in Bali.
