About Me:

Kshitij Jain is a Masters student and mentee in the BIG IDEAs Lab at Duke University. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and focuses on machine learning-driven digital health research using multimodal wearable and continuous glucose data. With broader interests in wearables and neuromodulation, Kshitij is currently working on modeling diabetes progression and non-invasive glucose estimation using wearable data, as well as digital screening for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes, with the goal of developing more accessible and personalized approaches to metabolic health monitoring.

A recipient of the BME Research Fellowship, Kshitij brings curiosity and analytical thinking to his work. He favors WHOOP for its long battery life and strain and recovery insights, and fuels his research days with green tea. Kshitij can most often be found outside the lab playing pickleball, soccer, or volleyball. On weekends, he likes cooking a three-course meal, celebrates wins by going out to eat with friends, and turns to pizza as his go-to comfort food.
