About Me:
Keying Jia is a Masters student and mentee in the BIG IDEAs Lab at Duke University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University and focuses on computer science applications connected to medicine. Keying is currently working with ECG datasets, with the broader goal of applying computational methods to better understand and interpret cardiac signals in clinically meaningful ways.
Outside the lab, she enjoys visiting art museums and playing tennis. Fun fact: she practices oil painting and is an avid tennis player. Fueled by coffee and often listening to Jackson Wang while working, Keying approaches research with careful attention to detail. On weekends, she enjoys trying delicious food and going to the gym, and she celebrates wins by having dinner with friends. When it comes to comfort food, hotpot is her favorite.
