About Me:

Chelsea Zhang is a medical student and mentee in the BIG IDEAs Lab at Duke University. She earned her B.S. in Biological Engineering from MIT and is interested in the interface between medicine, engineering, and technology, with a particular focus on women’s health. Chelsea is currently working on research examining pain during gynecological procedures, with the broader goal of improving patient-centered care through thoughtful integration of engineering and clinical insight.

Outside the lab, she enjoys spending time outdoors - swimming, running, or walking with friends and family. She uses a Garmin watch to support her active lifestyle and brings the same energy and balance to her research in women’s health and medical innovation.
